Tamang ethnic group is the people believed to be the Tibeto-Mongolian origin,practiced Buddhism and shamanism since a long time.At the foot of Ganesh Himal, their villages are located on the traditional route of Tibet. Itinerary by days
Day 1: Reception at Kathmandu airport by the agency and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Exploration of Kathmandu’s world heritage sites classified by UNESCO: Swyambudnath, Dubar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath … – Hotel.
Day 3: Take a private vehicle or local bus to Syabru Bensi.After crossing the pass at Kakani we see a beautiful panorama of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges – Tea house.
Day 4: Steep climb up that brings us to Gatlang,first Tamang town where we can meet men and women in traditional costumes – Tea house.
Day 5: After a descent walk across the cultivated land in terraces, we go back to Tatopani. the afternoon we take a bath in the large hot pools with the Nepalese. – Tea house.
Day 6: We continue our climb to the Nagthali pass (3165 m) before joining the charming village of Thuman.After the pass, we leave behind the chain of Ganesh Himal to find ourselves in front of the Langtang range. Langtang II (6560 m) and Langtang Lirung (7225 m). – Tea house.
Day 7: At the bottom of the valley, we cross the road that connects kathmandu to Lhasa,and we follow the Bhote Koshi River before climbing to the village of Briddim which have amid terraced fields and orchards. – Tea house.
Day 8: We take a path shepherds that leads us to the top of the hill from where we can enjoy the view of the Lauribinayek and Gosainkunda peaks.After passing the village of Sherpagaon which is clear and open landscape,we slowly descend to the forest towards Changtang, called Lama Hotel – Tea house.
Day 9: We still go downhill and cross the tumultuous Langtang Khola shortly before the village of Bamboo. We are at the bottom of the valley, in a strange forest of oaks, alders and bamboo. Then we go through a thick forest before reaching the village of Thulo Shyabru which is suspended from a ridge with its white chorten and ancient mani walls at the entrance of village.- Tea house.
Day 10: Return to the runway with alternating coniferous forests and pastures. The latest views on chains of Langtang and Ganesh Himal succeed before a long descent. Upon reaching the road, a private vehicle or local bus is waiting for us to join Thulo Bharku to Kathmandu – Hotel.
Day 11: Visit the medieval town of Bhaktapur Newar and Durbar Square in Patan, the ancient royal city, once the capital city of art- and Hotel
Day 12: Free morning in Kathmandu and transfer to airport .
